The College of Agriculture, Pantnagar has been striving to fulfil the cause of its genesis in every possible way and till date enormous contribution has been made. It is a matter of great pride that the College alumni have also played a pivotal role in supporting the College’s cause of agriculture and rural development. Through this significant platform of AAAP, I further make a call to all alumni to whole-heartedly connect with their alma mater and support its developmental initiatives.

Dear Fellow Member

The world has changed a lot in the last 4 to 5 months and while we have been adjusting to the new normal the human zeal to overcome all the challenges has been working on the solution so that we evolve out of it stronger, together. The world may have almost come to standstill for many however, most of us in Agriculture who are still busy helping the farmers grow more food and gracefully feed over a billion mouths despite this pandemic.

In this new normal I feel immense pleasure to tell that the Agri Alumni Association of Pantnagar (AAAP) can restrict this celebration of our annual get together, which has been doing since last 12 year. Yes we are back again with the 13th edition of this get together which would be in its digital avatar having the same enthusiasm, connection, and going back to the memory lane of our fun days at Pantnagar. This all can happen due to the support and the affection of all alma mater which gives us motivation and confidence.

It is a matter of pride and celebration for us that our College has completed 6 decades this year and carved out a niche as an icon of agricultural education with international standards. The other achievements are:

  • University has ranked 16 among all the universities in the country in 2020 according to Education World
  • Among BRICS nations The QS World University ranking 118
  • In India, the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranked it 52 overall and 34 among universities
  • Entering into new era of teaching learning innovation with having new state of are building named National Agriculture Higher education Project (NAHEP)

It has been possible due to the commitment and the efforts of the committed faculty, staff member, student and alumni. It is incumbent therefore on all of us to continue to contribute to ensure that the Alma mater not only retains its distinguished position but grows by leaps and bounds in the year to come

I also believe that the new leadership under Dr Tej Pratap Singh, the 25th Vice Chancellor of our university will take our Alma Mater to further heights through his able guidance and direction. We as alumni will continue to provide full support to realise his vision of making our university the apostle of agricultural revolution in the country

AAAP is one of the most vibrant alumni conclaves in the country, takes these responsibilities forward and works toward highlighting and felicitating good work done by Pantnagar community for the betterment of agriculture and farmer community and to sensitize leaders of tomorrow about possible avenues and engagement opportunities. With every annual conclave we wish to secure commitment from all the alma mater to share this vital responsibility with renewed impetus and energy. It is very heart-warming to see most of the pantnagarian from diverse professional field come to common platform year after year

Friends, let’s continue being together, growing for a cause and celebrating the occasion called Life

Best wishes for happy festive season ahead
